RELAXING ADVENTURE
Stehekin Valley is the kind of place
you visit once and want to keep
coming back to every year. Stehekin
is located 55 miles up the heads waters
of Lake Chelan in the Glacier peak
Wilderness and National Forest. the
only way to get too Stehekin is either
by boat, hiking through the wilderness or
flying into the valley. Once at Stehekin
you will step back in time in this rustic
remote wilderness community. The
Stehekin Lodge is in a beautiful grassy
valley below 8,ooo ft glacier covered
peaks. The lodge is a rustic relaxing place where the horses graze in the meadow
and you can always smell the best country food cooking. The Courtney Family
runs the lodge and other businesses in the valley having been there since they
homesteaded back in the 1800's. Warm hospitality and story's of a lifetime the
Courtney family are the keepers of Stehekin.
Fly in by float plane and enjoy a glacier tour
before landing at the docks of Stehekin Valley.
Relax in the lakeside house, our adventure
retreat for the weekend as our guides pamper
clients with five star meals, world class adventure
guiding and contagious company. Activity
brake out days with river rafting, hiking to
waterfalls, sea kayak training and of course
horse back riding will just be a part of your
Stehekin experience!
ITINERARY
DAY 1. Meet in the morning at the docks of Chelan Airway's. Fly up Lake Chelan
into the heart of the North Cascades for a glacier tour of 10,000ft peaks
before landing at the docks of Stehekin. Settle into the lake side house
before lunch at the Stehekin Ranch. The rest of the day is yours to walk
around relax on the deck or rent bikes and explore Stehekin.
DAY 2. After breakfast at the ranch we'll have
activity's for all adventure levels. Rafting,
horse riding, hiking to waterfalls or
sea kayaking will be just some
of the adventures you can claim on
your Stehekin adventure. We'll end
our day at the ranch for some more
gourmet cooking and story's of the day.
DAY 3. Wake up to breakfast and yoga on the deck as we prepare for a day of
of sea kayaking from the lake house. After exploring the lake and the
mouth of the Stehekin river we'll head back for a relaxing hot tub and a
gourmet dinner on the deck.
DAY 4. This is our last full day of adventure in Stehekin and a chance to explore
what you didn't see on day two. After breakfast at the ranch we'll have
another activity breakout day with rafting, kayaking, hiking, horse riding,
or riding a bike around Stehekin. After dinner at the lodge we'll go for a
night paddle on the lake and then back to the house for a hot tub and spirits.
DAY 5. After a relaxing morning we'll pack up and head to the famous Stehekin
bakery. After this there is time for a short hike or bike before your
Departure back to Chelan at 2:00 via the Lady of the Lake ferry boat.
